The Fair Play Program is 1 of 6 CAIS partners – from Portugal, Rhein Flanke from Germany, Balon Mundial from Italy, Cross Cultures from the Balkans and Johan Cruyff Foundation from the Netherlands to join the adidas Breaking Barriers project – an initiative by adidas to break down sports barriers, with faced by women and girls all over Europe.
adidas core belief is that through sport we have the power to change lives which is why it has developed a 5-year initiative to support girls and women in playing sports. The adidas Breaking Barriers project is supported by StreetFootballWorld, Soccer Without Borders and Women Win, and as a result, 15 European NGOs will be involved in this initiative.
As part of the project, we have developed Gender Action Plans, and their main assumption is to introduce organizational changes in our organization and in the project for gender equality and increasing the opportunities for girls to participate in physical activity.
As part of the project, we also selected 5 champions who developed their own initiative Time to Break Stereotypes – an initiative aimed at girls and women with whom they will share their knowledge, combine physical activity with social workshops.
As part of the Time to Break Stereotypes initiative, it will be:
-
12 sessions for girls, conducted by each champion – 60 in total
-
involved 75 girls aged 10-18 from the town of: Rudniki – voivodeship Opolskie, Proboszczewice – voivodeship Mazowieckie, Maszewo Duże – voiv. Mazowieckie, Puck – voivodeship Pomeranian
-

We are glad that we can be part of such an important and necessary cause !!
